Executes and monitors production activity across multiple cells ensuring safety quality delivery and cost goals are met. Drives productivity and problem solving through our Lean Management System. Develops Team Leads and operators through effective coaching communication and training. Drives Lean implementation at the cell level in alignment with the Collins ACE (Achieving Competitive Excellence) operating system. Primary Responsibilities Partner with 1st Shift Supervisors from multiple manufacturing cells to understand production requirements and establish nightly schedules to deliver the necessary results.Achieve target performance levels through disciplined execution of the daily Lean Management System including:Tiered accountability meetings (TIER 1 and 2 only for 2nd Shift)Visual Management SystemsLeader Standard WorkResponsible for safety quality delivery and cost metrics across 2nd shift. Ensure the practices and procedures are followed by direct reports.Demonstrate clear focus on accountability to nightly results rapid identification of root cause and effective implementation of corrective actions.Drive development of a strong problem-solving culture through application of practical problem-solving tools (8-D 5-whys Kata A3 etc.) and coaching behaviors.Champion safety quality improvement and ACE programs within the manufacturing cell(s).Support implementation and standardization of best practices through standard work aligned with the TWI model. This includes but is not limited to job instructions job breakdown sheets pre and post-flight checklists multi-cycle analysis layered audits and others as appropriate.Coordinate activities for materials and logistics problem resolution of a cell to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.Provide leadership coaching and development for production team leads.Partner with 1st Shift Supervisors to develop and execute a clear training plan in alignment with manufacturing and business needs.Ensure timely execution of manufacturing transactions including time approval in Epicor ERP system to ensure data accuracy. Work with other areas to continuously improve data integrity.
