Avionics Material Handler

What You Will Do:

• Accurately pick material from storage location with specific SAP locations and batches.
• Ability to key material requests into SAP.
• Uses assorted measuring and weight recording devices to accurately pick the defined quantity.
• Store/Retrieve articles in bins on floor or on shelves according to identifying information.
• Responsible for filing of documentation.
• Maintain organized inventory locations.
• Keeps equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean.
• Deliver material to the proper locations across the manufacturing floor.
• Conduct inventory audits as required.
• Complete assigned tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual skills.
• Report to lead or supervisor on work progress and updates including conditions surrounding failures to meet quality standards.
• Comply with all rules and regulations of Collins Aerospace including but not limited to: Environmental Health and Safety Ethics International Trade Compliance and Human Resources.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Prior logistics experience and/or prior experience with SAP or similar ERP system.
• Proper label application paperwork preparation and shipment packing.
• Current training in appropriate shipping regulations hazardous/dangerous goods packaging and shipping government international ocean air parcel and LTL truck shipments.? Maintain as required.
• The ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office shipping carrier manifest software and labeling.
• Intermediate computer skills in terms of typing navigating screens and learning new software programs.
