The successful candidate will take direction from more Senior Integrated Development Team Leaders and Program Chief Engineer for the HALO (Habitation and Logistics Outpost) program. The HALO program hardware is comprised of thermal control equipment including but not limited to digital controllers pumps accumulators valves and sensors. Collins Aerospace is a business unit within Raytheon Technologies and our products reside in deep space low earth orbit undersea and on the ground. We are also a major supplier to international space programs. The Collins Aerospace business has contributed to significant advances in ground air space and imaging technology for over 85 years. Within Collins Aerospace we design and manufacture Environmental Control and Life Support Systems on the International Space Station including the space suit and undersea in submarines.The successful candidate will drive the execution of all engineering responsibilities on the program while meeting both internal and external customer expectations. Direct communication with customers will be required - including daily tag-ups weekly meetings and quarterly meetings. This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) technical experience and the ability to work as cross-functional team member.Primary Responsibilities:Coordinating setting team meeting agendas leading team meetings and driving action item closuresTeam activity scope control including status and corrective action plans to budget challengesCoordination of engineering change activitiesCoordination and driving failure investigation activitiesDriving issue resolution closures due to assembly test and procurement challengesAbility and desire to become and perform export classifications for the programBasic Qualifications: Must be a US CitizenBachelors degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR Advance degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree 9 years of relevant experience is requiredPrior experience in related Engineering discipline(s)Experience with environmental control hardwareExceptional organizational analytical written and verbal communication skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize both daily issues and strategize longer term projectsSuperior interpersonal and influencing skills including coaching and mentoring of other engineering staffStrong computer skills MS Office WindchillNatural presence/comfortable presenting tointernal and external customersAbility to bring team members together and work problems to resolutionA desire to lead with the purpose of improving IPD Team performancePreferred Qualifications:A Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution is preferredA Maters degree in Mechanical Electrical or Chemical Engineering is preferredCollins Aerospace a Raytheon Technologies company is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
