We are looking for a Senior Avionics Technician who possesses the associated skills necessary to perform IFR certs new installs trouble shoot and repair avionics / instrument systems and system components with little to no supervision in a timely manner on GA aircraft. Must have experience with and knowledge of the latest general avionics products to include Garmin and Aspen. The ideal candidate removes and installs avionics equipment in aPart 145 Maintenance and Repair Station. Must have extensive experience installing all types of major manufacturers avionics efficiently. Must be able to perform all stages of installation from planning to recommending equipment wire integration and testing systems post-installation Duties include: Provides insights on how to create better efficiency in the installation process for any avionics. Ensures that work accomplished meets applicable regulatory and customer specifications. Checks all work and ensures a defective-free assembly prior to final inspection. Provide new equipment/product advice to customers specifically relating to capabilities and compatibility. Minimum High school or equivalent. Verifiable minimum 5 years General Aviation fixed wing avionics experience and appropriate licensing. Ability to pass a background check and FAA drug screening. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams. Knowledge of applicable regulatory and customer specifications. Computer skills and general software knowledge necessary. Must pass airport background check. Must be able to individually remove existing avionics and install new major manufacturers equipment. Must be able to conduct and interpret functional tests of avionics/electrical systems in accordance with blueprints worksheets manufacturers installation manuals and engineering drawings. Must have experience in troubleshooting avionics systems. Preferred Experience installing cabin entertainment systems and WIFI systems is a plus. A&P License. Military Experience is a plus as is supervisory experience. Relocation assistance provided for qualified candidates. Highly competitive compensation including bonuses. Work environment includes AS9100 certified 17000 square foot hangar with excellent ventilation internet and state of the art avionics equipment.
