Job Description

Aircraft Types:

  • 787
  • 737
  • 777
  • Unclassified Defense

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Assembly and Installation

  • Assemble install seal rig inspect and complete precision and structural/system components.
  • Follow drawings documents process specifications quality control requirements and established procedures.
  • Perform functional testing and ensure fit form and function of assemblies/components.
  1. Information and Documentation

  • Obtain required information from prints charts sketches work instructions documents verbal and electronic sources.
  1. Tools and Measurements

  • Use shop mathematics and precision measuring or test instruments for assignments.
  • Utilize tooling in assembling components into sub-assemblies or end items.
  1. Quality and Verification

  • Verify work aligns with work instructions process and engineering specifications.
  • Identify discrepancies according to procedure.
  • Ensure equipment and tool certifications are current.
  1. Maintenance

  • Perform minor routine machine maintenance (e.g. filters lights lubrication/coolant levels).
  1. Material Handling

  • Move products within manufacturing areas using shop-assigned equipment.
  • Complete transactions necessary for moving products to the next operation.
  1. Scheduling and Productivity

  • Complete work within allotted schedules.
  • Support continuous product flow by training and assisting employees at all classification levels.

Training and Cross-Training:

  • Train other assembly personnel in assembly installation and inspection techniques.
  • Cross-train in inspection to become SIA qualified.

Equipment Operation:

  • Setup and operate conventional and/or CNC and fastening equipment (<3-axis movement).
  • May include Drive Matic processes.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience as structures technician / sheet metal in the aerospace industry.
  • Fillet Seal and Electrical Bond Experience.
  • Specialty Skills Required:Assembly/Installation: Structures / Sealer Sub-Assembly
  • Additional Skills: Assembly/Installation of doors / Integral fuel cell sealing / Precision bench assembly / Pressure and vacuum testing
  • Available to start October 27 2025
  • Available to work overtime
