As an A&P Mechanic II you will be responsible for repairs replacement and maintenance of key aircraft components. Youll perform the necessary checks related to the mechanical and functional components of the aircraft including the testing of and replacement of defective or faulty parts. Youll use a variety of provided tools and equipment to perform diagnosis on parts to be replaced and ensure repairs and maintenance are compliant with national and international standards of work. Qualifications You Must Have:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience

• A higher level degree may substitute for experience

• Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

• Must pass written oral and practical assessments

• Active current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations

• Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations

• Ability to speak read and write in English

• Skills in repairing maintaining and/or troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines

• Base level knowledge of flightline operational schedules.

• Basic understanding of applicable technical schematics diagrams blueprints manuals and/or publications

• The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Familiarity with Edwards AFB

• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry the US Department of Defense or US Military

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $29.03 - $39.92. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors such as candidates key skills relevant work experience and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
