Description, duties, responsibilities
If you have a background supporting both military and commercial aircraft environments and are looking to expand your managerial responsibilities look no further as we have the opportunity youre seeking! As a Sr Aviation Manager you will be regarded as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will be responsible for coordinating company-owned Aircraft maintenance modification and sales processes and procedures with internal and external parties. Youll ensure that all company-owned Aircraft are maintained and operated in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and other applicable regulations perform inspection and flight test activities prior to aircraft sales and coordinating Flight and Ground Operations reviews with Aviation Safety Officials (ASOs) and Government Flight Representatives (GFRs). Your duties will also include performing internal audits of operating bases and deployed sites to ensure consistency of operations and compliance with FAA guidelines and participating in customer Quality at Entry (QAE) audit reviews.

Bachelors degree in a related field of study
A higher level degree may substitute for relevant experience
Extensive knowledge and experience with the practical application of Aircraft Maintenance and Inspection processes and procedures
Active current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification and Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry the US Department of Defense or US Military
Comprehensive knowledge and experience with the practical application of FAA regulations policies and procedures
Comprehensive knowledge of DCMAI 8210.1C
Ability to prepare and present information and matrix to leadership effectively
Strong communication skills
Ability to understand and interpret technical schematics diagrams blueprints manuals and/or publications
Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word Outlook PowerPoint Excel)
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required. Learn more about the background check process for Security Clearances
Typically 6-8 years of relevant experience
Previous management or lead experience; the ability to recruit employees; assign direct and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
Experience supporting both Military and Commercial Aircraft environments
Background in Quality Assurance Management.
Familiarity with ISO 9001
FAA Part 145 experience
FBO and/or MRO experience
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF) a federal government agency handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include but are not limited to allegiance to the U.S. foreign influence foreign preference criminal conduct security violations and illegal drug use.
