Plans, directs and leads Human Resource Management staff as they carry out policies and procedures relating to all aspects of human resources activities for the Signature Flight Support locations. Acts as coach and mentor to Human Resource staff. Acts as a Talent Development coach and liaison for General Management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partners with Regional Vice President Operations and Senior Human Resources management to establish Human Resources strategy within the region.
Ensures locations are in compliance with all company policies and procedures related to Human Resources. Provides advice and consultation to operations, safety, finance and HR management.
Recommends changes, new approaches, policies and procedures to influence improvement and efficiency of the division/organization.
Disseminates implements and monitors Human Resources policies, programs and procedures. Acts as subject matter expert and advisor on leaves of absences including ADA, FMLA and Workers Compensation.
Ensures compliance with federal, state and local employment and safety related laws and regulations. Coordinates, implements and administers EEO/AA plans and objectives throughout the assigned region.
Champions co-worker engagement by creating, supporting and/or deploying engagement activities. Partners with regional management and senior Human
Resources management to develop and deploy additional engagement activities.
With HR Management, acts as a mentor/coach in the talent acquisition, staffing and talent management processes. Creates opportunities to build leadership capabilities and enhance internal talent. Manages overall performance management process ensuring timely station talent development.
Manages co-worker relations. Coaches and counsels management and Human Resources professionals on conflict management and resolution.
Manages the internal and external complaints within the region from notification through resolution. Ensures fair treatment and equitable application of SFS and BBA policies and procedures. Represents organization at personnel related hearings and investigations.
Participates in collective bargaining process. Deploys, executes, implements and ensures the CBA is executed and followed.
Assist station HR with implementation of appropriate disciplinary and grievance procedures, taking care that such policies or procedures do not alter the at-will employment relationship. Ensures proper disciplinary actions are conducted in a timely and consistent manner.
Coordinates with Regional Corporate Safety and Environmental Manager regarding workers compensation, DOT and OSHA compliance matters. Has working knowledge of state workers compensation laws and makes recommendations on how claims should be handled.
Assist General Manager in sourcing, selection and training.
Responsible for training and keeping Station HR Professionals current of the latest applicable rules, regulations, policies and laws.
Acts as dotted line supervisor for up to 10 Human Resources professionals.
Participates with General Manager on Performance review and management of all HR staff.
Bachelors degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, plus, three to five years HR Management experience or, an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid drivers license required. Position requires considerable overnight travel.
