Summary

The Line Service is responsible for supporting all ground operations for inbound and outbound aircraft, flight crews and passengers. Line service is a support position ensuring smooth operations for all our clients in a variety of aircraft, and under a variety of operations. This is a fast paced, yet highly precise work environment, demanding Line Service to accurately complete highly important tasks. Procedures must be followed to ensure both your safety and safety of others and the protection of company and customer property. At its heart Line Service is a customer service/ support position necessitating strong interpersonal skills and communication skills. Line Service will interact with a variety of customers, and discretion is of the utmost importance. This is a rewarding experience for anybody interested in breaking into the aviation industry. Learn the industry from the ground up and gain an appreciation for all that is required to keep the aircraft moving smoothly and most importantly, safely.

Duties:

  • Fuel aircraft
  • Marshal and Tow aircraft
  • Aircraft lavatory, potable water, ground power, and oil service
  • Load/unload baggage
  • Operate fuel trucks, and complete appropriate paperwork
  • Operate ground support equipment
  • Provide basic security to people and property
  • Direct passengers, and flight crews on ramp area
  • Other duties and tasks as required
  • General facility maintenance and custodial duties such as facility cleaning, vehicle washing, aircraft cleaning and vacuuming

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to make decisions with multiple objectives and implement in a safe and efficient manner
  • Follow oral and written direction; plan and complete assigned duties on a regular schedule; complete tasks accurately and quickly
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, restricted license are not valid for employment
  • Ability to work without direct management oversight
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including overtime when required
  • Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, and submit to random testing when required
  • Complete job-related training
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors, day, night and in all weather conditions
  • High School diploma
  • Physical requirements
  • Stepping up /down ladders, tugs and fuel trucks
  • Must be comfortable on top of fuel truck platforms
  • Lift baggage from ground level to waist and overhead while loading aircraft, up to 75 lbs
  • Bending and stooping to pick up tow bars and other equipment, up to 75 lbs
  • Stooping below wings to chock aircraft
  • Standing and walking for extended periods of time, running when required
  • Good hand-eye coordination

Preferred Experience (not required)

  • Prior line service experience
  • Mechanically/ technically inclined
  • Prior aviation experience
