Global Logistics Support Services (GLSS) an S Inc. company has an immediate opening for an Aircraft Mechanic II - Pneudraulics/Hydraulics to join our team in Spokane WA. Military experience is a plus. This position is contingent on award of contract.

Job Description:
The Aircraft Mechanic II must have a combination of experience to repair engines sheet metal and structural hydraulic electrical power train and general mechanical maintenance of moderate difficulty required to meet the assigned missions. Additionally provides input to Maintenance Engineering Changes (MEC) Estimated Cost of Damage preparation (ECOD) and assist in the recommendation of changes to (MWO). Individuals must be able to prioritize workloads and are required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks. Mechanic IIs can inspect Mechanic IIs and Is.
Responsibilities:
- The mechanic repairs replaces and rebuilds aircraft structures such as wings and fuselage and functional components including rigging surface controls and plumbing and hydraulic units.
- Uses hand tools power tools machines and equipment such as shears sheet metal brake welding equipment rivet gun and drills.
- This worker reads interprets manufacturers airlines maintenance manuals service bulletins technical data engineering data and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Work involves replacing or repairing worn or damaged components such as carburetors alternators magnetos fuel controls fuel pumps oil pumps and engine mounted gearboxes and compressor bleed valves.
- By working with hand tools gauges and testing equipment.
- Removes engine from aircraft using hoist or forklift truck disassembling and inspecting parts for wear cracks security or other defects and repairing or replacing defective engine parts reassembles and installs engine in aircraft.
- Job duties require that this mechanic to adjusts make repairs or replace electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories.
- Performs preflight thru-flight and post-flight maintenance inspections.
- Performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft including flushing crankcase cleaning screens and filters greasing moving parts and checking brakes.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A&P License or Military Service School Certification of training in Aviation Maintenance.
- Active DOW Secret Security Clearance highly desired.
- Must have three (3) years experience of an Air Force wide-body platform (preferably KC135) or equivalent.
- Must have experience with installation of aircraft modifications that involve drilling cutting or punching sheet metal to install new fittings fasteners and/or instruments/displays in accordance with blueprints technical documents or TCTOs.
- Must have experience reading interpreting technical instructions to include blueprints and TCTO instructions.
- Must be knowledgeable enough to know when instructions/blueprints are vague incomplete or unclear and request additional technical information.
- Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedule on assigned projects.
- May require specialization in sheet-metal electric work avionics or other aircraft systems related disciplines.
