Visit TextronSystems.com and Lycoming.com to read more about who we are and the products we make!About This RoleProvide (SUAS/Aerosonde) Air Vehicle Operator support to the various initiatives underway within Textron Systems TMS division. Duties include but are not limited to; assisting project engineering with all aspects of new product integration implementation and testing in both ground and flight environments support of new integration flight tests customer training and support and system capability demonstration flights of production SUAS platforms at operational locations around the globe. Additional duties will include emplacement displacement periodic and routine inspection required maintenance and replenishment of other associated ground equipment as well as proper notation of logbooks and records. Duties and responsibilities will also require a substantial amount of travel both domestically and internationally in support of our product line and customer relations. Additional daily duties may occur on a situational basis and will be assigned as necessary.Required Skills: Prior UAS operator experience is required. Piccolo Auto-Pilot PCC and/or Aerosonde experience is desired however all UAV system experience will be considered. Instructor experience is highly desirable. FAA licenses or certificates such as A&P A&P IA private pilot commercial pilot instrument rating CFI CFII is also desirable. Computer skills such as Microsoft Linux or UNIX and a working knowledge of networks are required. Applicant must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Potential AVO must be willing to travel with minimal notice for extended periods of time anywhere in the world. Applicant must be willing to deploy overseas in support of contingency operations for periods of 2 months or longer. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasking Ability to work in extreme weather conditions Able to organize and set up test with minimal guidance Must be a team player and able to work with minimum supervisionRequired Experience: High School diploma required. Prior UAV/UAS experience required. Technical certificates from trade schools military technical schools or community college preferred. Successful candidate must have a working knowledge of computers and an operational understanding of Local Area Networks. FAA certifications or school a definite plus.
