ES Simulation Training business focusses on Military Simulation Mission and Maintenance Training from our facility in Goose Creek SC (Charleston).Electronic Systems Simulation and Training is currently seeking candidates for a Military Aircraft Subject Matter Expert (SME) based in Goose Creek SC.The Military Aircraft Subject Matter Expert is a highly motivated self-driven team player with the ability to perform in a fast-changing business environment. The SME will provide the engineering staff with military cargo aircraft systems theory of operation and an understanding of how the aircraft systems operate and interact. The SME will also conduct training task test and evaluation to ensure system functionality matches the aircraft performance and contract requirements. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience with Military Transport or Military Cargo Aircraft C-130 C-5 KC135 KC-10 or C-17 (C-17 preferred) avionics or electro-environmental systems operation and functionality although all systems are ultimately required.The Military Aircraft Subject Matter Expert reports to the Project Manager.Responsibilities: Provide engineering teams with military cargo aircraft (C-17 preferred) knowledge of all system operations. Make recommendations on changes to the training systems to keep them concurrent with the aircraft. Maintain a positive working relationship with the Air Force Program Office and Training Detachments. Maintain a positive working relationship with the customers and suppliers. Request technical data from the Air Force and aircraft manufacturers to support Training System upgrades. Participate in aircraft and training system design reviews. Participate in Training System Hardware/Software Integration (HSI). Develop and/or review Training System documentation including Test Procedures Conduct / participate in Training System Testing and sell-off.Qualifications and Experience: Five or more years of military aircraft maintenance required. Knowledge in the operation maintenance and repair of aircraft systems (Avionics hydraulics environmental landing gear etc.) System test or quality control experience preferred Demonstrated requirements analysis skills and ability to trace requirements to test procedures desirable. Personal computer skills (e.g. word processing spread sheet presentation graphics) Effective written and oral communication skills Established leadership skills Effective ability to organize and prioritize tasks Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple contingencies requiring attention Ability to work independently as well as collaborativelyMust be able to obtain a SECRET Security Clearance25 - 75% travel required depending on the phase of the contract
