••Description

••SUMMARY:

The ChannelDevelopment Manager (CDM) is responsible for establishing new dealer opportunities,both through the existing dealer network and direct accounts or by proactivelydeveloping new dealers and direct accounts. The CDM will train and developdealers and distributors throughout the region that will promote TextronSpecialized Vehicles, Consumer (Textron Off Road, E Z GO and Arctic Cat)product lines. The CDM has overallresponsibility for increasing brand recognition and improving salesproductivity of set regional sales goals & marketing objectives relevant tothe Consumer Business.

••RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Drive product knowledge, channel acceptance and sales productivityin the Consumer market.
+ Establish competitive programs and other market intelligence tosupport new dealer recruitment.
+ Develop and implement plans and strategies to cultivate newbusiness opportunities.
+ Manage dealer & distributor sales training.
+ Maintain sales & marketinformation within CRM platform.
+ Coordinating dealer terminations with legal liaison and approvalfrom Director of Sales.
+ Complete territory channel report on a monthly basis via MMR.
+ Ensure product knowledge and training skills are qualified tosuccessfully promote the products and train dealer sales personnel.
+ Attend shows and or expositions relevant to the territory andConsumer Business.
+ Responsible for relaying information to other company personnelconcerning possible field product problems.
+ Develop existing channel partners with the implementation ofsupport tools and training to drive organic growth within the Consumerbusiness.
+ Perform territory and market competitive analysis to support channeldevelopment and recruitment.
+ Provide competitive intelligence to Director, of ChannelDevelopment and Recruitment on product trends, competitive programs and othermarket intelligence to support Consumer sales efforts.
+ Perform distribution gap analysis to support dealer developmentactions/planning.
+ Provide input to the management team on development of new productor service features that will meet current and future customer needs.
+ Develop and implement plans and strategies to cultivate newbusiness opportunities.
+ Collaborate with internal departments in the development and implementationof strategies, plans, and business models.
+ Overnight travel on an as needed basis in order to service andsatisfy customer needs.
+ Perform special projects as assigned by management.
+ Perform all duties in accordance with the Textron Business ConductGuidelines



Required Experience

••CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

+ The successful candidate must already residein Western Canada or be willing to relocate without financial assistance.
+ Minimum of 5 years relevant experience,preferably in Consumer markets OR graduate of Textron Specialized VehiclesSales Development Program.
+ Must have strong knowledge of financialactivities (budgeting, forecasting, financial statement analysis).
+ Must have strong communication, negotiationand organizational skills.
+ Must be capable of interfacing effectivelywith the other functional areas of the Company (i.e., Finance, Marketing,Manufacturing and Engineering).
+ Must have the ability to develop and executeeffective sales programs.
+ Must possess solid leadership ability andstrong verbal and written skills.
+ Must be a highly capable negotiator and beable to establish strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
+ Experience in a manufacturing environmentpreferred.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office andSalesforce.com required.
+ Ability to multi task and deal with tighttimelines.

••EDUCATION:

Bachelor& 8217;s degreepreferred; Associates degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience will beconsidered.

••Physical Demands:

+ While performing the duties of this job, theemployee is regularly required to load and unload trailers, attach trailers tocompany vehicles, operate vehicles, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
+ The employee frequently is required to walk;sit; and use hands to forger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
+ Specific vision abilities required by this jobinclude close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depthperception, and the ability to adjust focus.
+ While performing the duties of this job, theemployee regularly works in outside weather conditions.
+ Thenoise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
