Responsibilities

  • Support Manufacturing to ensure schedule cycle time and cost targets are met.
  • Support lean OE TOS activities on existing and new programs.
  • Ensure schedules are achievable through capacity analysis and identify improvements with recovery plans. Develop recovery plans to meet schedule.
  • Facility layouts and work flow: Work with Manufacturing and IE on the assembly sequence for efficiency. Assess current layouts for square footage utilization using established methods for maximizing utilization of production facilities and personnel.
  • Develop layouts and prepare presentations evaluate and recommend improvements.
  • Work measurement: Conduct time studies using Cycle and Takt Time based on lean principles. Identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in Kaizens lean workshops and lean events 5S and Gemba and safety walks.
  • Actively support and drive Lean initiatives for People/Schedule/Cost support continuous improvement initiatives and Policy Deployment.

Qualifications

  • Associates/Bachelors degree in related field.
  • Lean certifications desired but not required.
  • Minimum of 1 year ofrelated experience (Aerospace preferred). College graduates will be considered.
  • Understanding of Lean principles and Value Streams.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office suite emphasizing Excel and Power-Point plus Autocad or Draft Sight (or similar drafting software).
  • Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. This position requires working with teams and interacting with all levels of the organization.
