Requisition #: 192252 Title: Nurse Life Flight Department: Air Ambulance Service Grade: PDNSG Posting Date: March 12 2019 Status: Non-Exempt Shift: Mixed Union: Non-Union Hours: As Needed Shift Length: 12 hours Location: UMass Memorial Medical Center University Campus Responsible for the planning delivery and management of direct patient care utilizing the Nursing process and adhering to the standards of nursing practice. Currently registered by the Board of Registration in Nursing for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Emergency Medical Technician certification. Current Advanced Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Life Support (PALS). Current certification as a Certified Emergency Nurse and/or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN). Certified Flight Nurse (CFN) within one year of hire. Minimum of four years of critical care experience in a tertiary care facility preferably including both Emergency Department and Intensive Care experience. Major Utilizes the nursing process for the delivery and management of patient s care from admission to discharge appropriate to the developmental age and cultural diversity of the patient population. Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to nursing standards. Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning. Directs supervises coordinates and evaluates nursing care within assigned clinical setting. Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with and competency level.
