Due to the Pandemic and individual states with different phases of reopening the selectees report date to the official duty station/facility may be delayed until such time as employees are allowed to report to the workplace. The person selected may telework up to the maximum extent possible up to and including full time until it is safe to relocate.

Performs installation maintenance monitoring modification and certification functions of Network Enterprise Management Center (NEMC) systems and services such as: Weather Message Switching Center Replacement (WMSCR) and Regional ADAS Service Processor (RASP) and NADIN Message Replacement (NMR) systems. These systems collect process store and disseminate textual aviation weather products and Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) information between National Airspace Systems (NAS) systems commercial airlines and commercial users 24 hours a day.
Contacts are internal and external but are limited to the scope of the employees work. These contacts may include Districts other FAA organizations airport authority and contractors. Contacts are made to share information and provide data.
The individual at this Level is achieving technical proficiency on additional systems. Works with new technology efforts and may interact with other individuals to obtain the skills necessary to install integrate maintain and restore new advances in systems.
Resolves problems and assists technical experts on complex systems. Applies knowledge and experience of both hardware and software to different types of equipment and subsystems.
The primary responsibilities of this position require system knowledge of the NAS as an integrated system of the relationship of the parts to the whole and of the capabilities within the NAS to deal with unusual problems or unanticipated air traffic safety issues.
Duties have a direct impact on the NAS.
Occasional travel - The job may require travel from time- to-time but not on a regular basis. The travel may be for training or other work-related duties.

To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level of FV-F/Level I or the equivalent of an FG/GS-9. Specialized experience is defined as experience in the FV-2101 occupation or in a related occupation which equips the applicant with the knowledge skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. The specialized experience required should demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the technology system interrelationships and management of civilian or military automated aviation navigation and electronics systems.
Candidates must show experience at the level of difficulty and responsibility appropriate to the position. Generally experience at the next lower level of F/Level I or equivalent meets the minimum qualifications for this position as long as the experience provides the demonstrated abilities identified in this announcement.
