Description, duties, responsibilities

Diagnose and repair avionics components using test equipment and schematic diagrams. Diagnose Avionics malfunction down to the components level using equipment and schematic design. Install and calibrate communication navigation and flight control systems. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and manufacturer specifications. Perform software updates and configuration management on digital systems. Collaborate with airframe and powerplant (A&P) technicians to integrate avionics with other aircraft systems. Document maintenance actions test results and part replacements in accordance with regulatory and company procedures. Maintain knowledge of current avionics technologies and safety procedures. Skills and Qualifications. Strong understanding of electronics circuit theory and digital systems. Proficiency in using avionics testing instruments (e.g. Bonding and mega meters multimeters).
