Salary Information: Minimum step 13 $2245.50 per month/ $26946 annually

Full Time/Part Time: Part Time 50%

Temporary/Permanent: Temporary

Funding: Start-up and Federal Grants

Other Conditions:

Renewal of appointment dependent upon performance program needs and availability of funds.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop beam dynamics simulation for the UH linac and FEL.

Conduct research on beam Physics and FEL Physics.

Operate the UH linac and FEL facility under supervision and verify theoretical calculation and simulations with experimental measurements.

Minimum Qualifications

Must have a Bachelors degree with a focus in Physic Astronomy or equivalent subject field

Must be a current graduate student in the College of Natural Sciences UHM

Must have programming skills.

Ability to comply with lab safety protocols and work with others.

Desirable Qualifications

Background in accelerator physics.

Has prior programming experience in python/matlab/labview

Must have experience with SolidWorks.

Must have experience with vacuum work.
