Operational SpecialistIntegrated Operations CenterJob Summary:Members of the Integrated Operations Center (IOC) are responsible for the day to day 24/7 operation of LaGuardia s Terminal B. Our high-level responsibilities include trouble-shooting monitoring critical systems responding to calls and conducting terminal and safety inspections. The primary focus of this role is to support the Terminal B operation by overseeing both the safety and security of the facility while attending to the requests and concerns of airport tenants staff customers and government agencies. Areas of responsibilities include: Terminal Airside Integrated Operations Center and curbside.Major Duties and Responsibilities:Monitors terminal activities and takes appropriate steps to mitigate any safety security or other concernsConduct facility inspections of terminal concourses apron and curbside to ensure good operational order and facility cleanliness that meet and exceed industry standardsResponds to terminal and airside events including breaches and guest services concernsResponds to Operations Center calls emails from customers airport tenants and government agenciesCoordination with on-site government personnel to help resolve concerns relating to terminal operationCurbside managementAirside ManagementMaintains records of all incidents in the electronic Operations logAnalyzes Operations log entries to identify trendsProvide daily reportsIdentify and report any areas of underperformanceMonitors BMS FAS SCADA and other systems for alarms trouble and status as requiredWork Order ManagementField support calls from terminal stakeholdersProvide troubleshooting steps to identify and resolve issuesCreate manage and track the status of work orders in MaximoDispatch LGP staff and support teams including vendorsCompetencies:Knowledge of SMSOperations background preferredCustomer Service focusedExcellent computer skillsPresentation skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work in a high-pressure environmentFacilities knowledgeRoutinely carries/lifts moves transports and positions items weighing up to 50 poundsAbility to multi-taskStrong decision-making skillsCritical ThinkingProject and time management skillsAbility to work collaboratively with others to solve issuesEducation and ExperienceBachelor s degree (aviation major a plus) or equivalent relevant experience3 years of Operations experience in the hospitality field or an aviation or airport settingExperience working effectively in a regulated environmentKnowledgeable in airport airside and terminal operationsValid Drivers License
