For over forty years we have delivered high-quality aftermarket aerospace services that are affordable and customer-focused.Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of NALCOMIS/OOMA aircraft maintenance software database management reports and processes.Use publications and charts to inspect remove/replace aircraft aviator survival equipment.Perform on aircraft conditional and special inspections of installed survival equipment to include removal and reinstallation of Cartridge Actuated Devices (ordnance).Order aviator personal equipment parts tools material.Rig/fit/modify aviators helmets.Fit/repair/modify survival vest.Rig life preserver and survival vest.Install/test emergency radios in survival vest.Service repair and maintain SEA and related equipment.Operate adjust clean lube sewing machine when trained/qualified.Install/remove/repair grommet/snap fasteners/Velcro closures on aviators personal flight equipment.Manufacture fabric items from detailed drawings.Sew heavy and/or light material Naugahyde/vinyl.Remove/install/repair slide fastener in all types of fabrics.Maintains night vision goggles when trained/qualified.Pursuant to the specific provisions of the CBA and government contract at the discretion of management may be requested to perform the collateral duties of Lead and/or CD/QAR.Assist with ordering tools parts and materials.Ensure proper operation and use of test equipment and Ground Support Equipment.Must possess personal tools required to perform the work in the classification.Monitor and assist the line move crew when operating inside the hangar.Responsible to Maintenance Supervisor and/or Maintenance Control Supervisor in performing those duties assigned.Maintain cleanliness of the work center and around your assigned work area.Must comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract facilities and job assignment.Document work accomplished on government and company electronic and/or manual Information SystemsAssist in ensuring the safety security inventory and preservation of Government-owned and Company-owned equipment.Ensure compliance with established Maintenance/Work Instructions and Company policies/procedures.Must have extensive working knowledge of COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series OPNAV 3750 series applicable ISO Federal Aviation Regulations and Navy Instructions.Must be able to utilize card files and common office equipment.Responsible for adherence to and enforcement of the Tool Control Program.Responsible for adherence to and enforcement of the FOD Prevention Program.Adhere to and enforce all Company and Government regulations to ensure personnel safety and the security and preservation of Government and Company-owned equipment.Ensure compliance with required Quality Control policies and inspections.Perform all other position related duties as well as other projects and initiatives as assigned.Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standardsPosition Scope and CharterMust have two (4) years documented hands-on specialized experience in aviators personal and survival equipment maintenance.Graduate of Navy Parachute Rigger "A" school (or equivalent)Graduate of C-555-0047 OOMA course or equivalent.Must pass ordnance physical and eye exam as required by OPNAV 8023.24 series (annually or bi-annually depending upon medical conditions)Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.Must meet any other qualification standards imposed by the government contract not covered by this agreement.Must have a valid state driver license and obtain GSE licensing hazardous materials certificationMust have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate using a two-way radio and/or intercom system.Must have the ability to develop professional relationships with management peers vendors subcontractors and customersMust be able to work weekends other shifts and overtime as required.Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data.Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instruction.Limited travel may be required.Physical RequirementsPrimarily aircraft hangar environment. Must pass ordnance physical as required by OPNAV 8023.24 series. Must be able to climb ladders stairs and portable stands and navigate these without assistance. Must be able to work at heights up to 15 feet above the ground. Must be able to work in extreme heat/cold. Must be able to work in the following environmental conditions: noise vibration proximity to moving mechanical parts moving vehicles electrical current chemicals odors dust. Must be able to bend reach stoop balance push pull kneel grasp crouch crawl work in narrow aisles/passageways and work in close spaces that restrict movement including aircraft fuel tanks for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand for sustained periods of time. Must be able to work primarily with fingers such as picking pinching typing. Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. Must be able to lift/maneuver up to 50 pounds. Must be able and willing to enter and work in confined spaces such as aircraft fuel tanks and beneath floor panels with clearances of 18" - 24".
