Description, duties, responsibilities
Job responsibilities:Serving as primary liaison with government representatives to coordinate all Program actions.Reviews and analyzes aircraft maintenance reports and statistical data to detect trends and problem areas.Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations decrease cycle time and streamline work processes and works cooperatively and jointly to provide quality customer service.Serves as a member of senior management team in formulating and establishing organizational policies and operating procedures for the company.Directs coordinates and manages all aspects of aircraft maintenance at assigned location.Provides leadership to the team through effective goal setting delegation and communication.Aligns goals of the field with the companys goals policies and strategies.The Site Manager shall have the ability to meet constraints of time cost and technical performance while focusing on customers needs through strong leadership decision making management and communication skills.The Site Manager shall have recent knowledge of organizational processes risk management quality processes and quality management schedule and cost control basic contracting law Federal Acquisition Regulations Defense Acquisition Regulations Federal Aviation Regulations and Defense Logistics Manual (DLAM 8210.1) and Aviation maintenance management.The Site Manager shall review direct and coordinate all program actions.The Site Manager shall be responsible for reporting monthly quarterly and annual P reports.Requirements/Qualifications:Must have at least fifteen (15) years maintenance management which should include 5 years in a Site Management role preferred.Five (5) years directly managing aircraft maintenance operations highly preferred.BA/BS degree in a managerial discipline preferred.It is highly desirable that the selected individual have an in-depth background in Aviation.Professional verbal and written communication skills for interaction with executive decision makers composing job descriptions proposals and presentations.Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.Demonstrated ability to work in a customer facing role and as a collaborative member of a diverse teamPhysical Requirements:Primarily office environment. Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. At times must be able to work in aircraft hangar environment and board / exit aircraft. At times must be able to climb bend kneel crouch balance and stoop. Must be able to walk particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Must be able to work primarily with fingers such as typing. Must be able to work at heights subject to noise subject to a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts work on scaffolding exposure to heat/cold. Must be able to communicate effectively.
