Join our quality assurance team to support our Aerospace manufacturing team by assuring product and processes are in compliance with customer requirements.Shift available:1st shift Monday to Thursday 5AM to 3:30PM and overtime as requiredNOTES:Pay for this role will vary based on experience and education. Range starts at hourly rate of $16.50 and goes up to $20Summary:Acts as a technician in Quality Assurance inspecting material received components finished products and work in process to insure conformance with customer requirements internal quality plans and government specifications. Specific duties and job elements may vary per plant site.Essential Duties and Responsibilities will vary based on level and could include the following.Other duties may be assigned.Quality Tech Level IIDemonstrated ability to perform all functions of a QA Technician Level I.Know basic metallurgic principles regarding material certifications.Participate in PFMEAs and FMEAs.Perform calibrations of simple mechanical or electrical controlled gages and equipment.Knowledge of the principles of Advanced Quality.Perform gage RApply basic GD& T principlesRecognize quality defects and advise operator on containment policyUse and apply computer skill to submit data.Perform color match pencil hardness and gloss testing on painted materialPerform process audits.Ability to perform instrument systems checks and temperature uniformity surveys for solution and precipitation of heat-treat processes if assigned to Aerospace.Create tensile test coupons if assigned to AerospaceAbility to use optical measurement equipment/instruments.Perform color match testing as required.Ability to perform pH testing as requiredQuality Tech Level IIIDemonstrated ability to perform all functions of a QA Technician Level II.Interpret and apply GD principles.Ability to perform MRB as directed by Quality Group Leader.Be a liaison and interface with customer representatives including travel to customer sites for the purpose of audits or inspections and other quality duties as directed.Knowledge of heat treat process control if assigned to Aerospace. Ability to calibrate/troubleshoot electronic measurement equipment. (Wizard and ACQ slide)Maintain certification for eddy current testing if assigned to Aerospace.Other duties may be assigned.Ability to communicate electronically and verbally with the customer professionallyAbility to lead a CI Team as a facilitator when chosenMaintain fluent computer skills to provide charts graphs e-mails and other documents with a low margin of errors.Physical Demands -Thephysical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
