Preferred Airparts is currently interviewing for an A&P Mechanic. This person will work as a team member within our Structures department. JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE:                    AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

                                                 Structural Repair Department

RESPONSIBILITIES: To work as a team member within the structural repair department of Preferred Airparts. Emphasis is on sheet metal and airframe structural repair.

REPORTS TO:           AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR, Structural Repair Department

DUTIES AND TASKS:

• Repair of sheet metal and structure of Cessna Caravans, DC3’s and other aircraft including fuselage, wings, stabilizers and control surfaces, as part of the aircraft repair process.
• Assisting repair of the mechanical components of Caravans, DC3’s including component reinstallation/rigging/testing during the aircraft repair process.
• Repair of individual structural components including wings, stabilizers, control surfaces etc. for sale by Preferred Airparts.
• Repair of structural defects and/or modification of aircraft operated by Priority Air Charter.
• Perform scheduled Airframe & Powerplant inspections and subsequent defect rectification as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 2 years college education in aviation technology.
• FAA Certification Airframe and Powerplant license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:   

• Bending, Stooping, Standing, Twisting, Climbing Stairs, repetitively throughout the shift.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders
