The Opportunity

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking an ICT and Cyber Security Operations Manager to join the Air Combat Electronic Attack Support Contract (ACEA) team supporting electronic attack, self-protection and mission systems sustainment.

Program overview

The ACEA program provides in-service support, sustainment and upgrades for electronic attack and self-protection systems that protect Australias combat aircraft and aircrew. This capability enhances survivability in contested environments, supports operational readiness, and enables integration with coalition systems and tactics.

  • Engage directly with the customer, providing specialist advice and solutions to frontline problems
  • Oversight of Cyber Security Incident Response

Who were looking for

  • ICT or technical tertiary qualification or 4 years industry experience in a similar role is desirable
  • Experience Interpreting and applying contract requirements with a strong understanding of the compliance requirements and standards outlined in the Defence Security Principles Framework
  • Cultivating and motivating a large multi-disciplinary team through mentoring, coaching and staff development plans. Personnel management and resource planning desirable
  • A Strong technical background in ICT systems or Cyber Security implementation and management with the defence industry
  • An understanding of the practical implications of ICT and cyber risk within the Defence industry context
  • Experience with virtualisation and windows and Linux based environments
  • Industry certifications highly regarded (e.g. CISP, CISM)
  • High level of customer service and interpersonal communications skills
  • Working knowledge of the system authorisation process within the Defence industry

Security requirement

  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements
  • Current NV1 AGSVA clearance required
