Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Associate Fabrication Specialist to join the Manufacturing Support Team (Machine Shop), located in North Charleston, South Carolina on 2nd shift.

Position Responsibilities:

• Follows detailed verbal and/or written instructions, reads and interprets moderately complex blueprint drawings and specifications to set-up and machine items to fabricate out of sequence emergent production parts and fillers as required using manual and CNC machines
• Develops and revises Machine Control Data (MCD) and geometry
• Assists other machinists in completing job responsibilities
• Performs machine set-up, machining, deburring and fabrication tasks
• Works on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements
• Maintains all necessary certifications to perform the job

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 1+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing
• Must be able to work any shift
• Ability to lift to 35 lbs – this role requires frequent lifting up to 10 lbs, occasional carrying, lifting, pushing/pulling, walking, standing, balancing, frequent reaching overhead and at or above shoulder, frequent sitting

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 1+ years of CNC experience
• 1+ years of experience with the 787 Program
• 1+ years of experience with systems to perform work (SOS, CMES, Velocity, REDARS)
• 1+ years of experience in a team environment
• 1+ years of experience in a role with Team Leadership (Formal/Informal)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $49,500 - $60,500
