We are seeking a talented Global Trade Control Specialist to join the Boeing Australia Global Trade Controls team, to be based in a hybrid capacity in Brisbane, Melbourne or Adelaide.

Global Trade Controls is a strategic business partner that enables Boeing’s business and accelerates Boeing’s global growth by providing expert guidance on complex trade requirements and regulations. 

Global Trade Controls collaborates with stakeholders to solve problems, offer innovative solutions, and shape regulatory policies to advance Boeing’s long-term objectives. 

Global Trade Controls as a governance team fosters a culture of compliance and helps identify and mitigate risks across the enterprise.

About the Role:

  • Provide Boeing entities, including commercial and defence programs, throughout Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific with guidance across regulatory export requirements, with a specific focus on US, Australian and New Zealand legislation;
  • Implement internal controls for trade control compliance, direct trade control activity, and provide guidance to Boeing entities and programs regarding incorporating trade control requirements into program and/or functional processes and procedures;
  • Act as a liaison between Boeing and customers and suppliers for trade control-related matters;
  • Analyse applicability of trade control requirements relating to both DCS and FMS procurement methods.
  • Assist with planning of export licensing requirements for contracted activities and potential future activities.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Knowledge of both sovereign Australian export controls regulations, as well as US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and US Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Acquisition experience in the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) or Prime Contractor organisation; and/or
  • Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics and Customs Procedures
  • Effective communication and influencing skills working with managers and supervisors
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law or related disciplines
