Purpose of this role:

  • Reporting directly to the Marketing VP of Commercial Aviation Embraer China based in Beijing;
  • Maximizes the perceived value of Commercial Aviation solutions within the region of responsibility;
  • Works in the processes regarding monitoring and analysis of aerospace markets;
  • Coordinates multidisciplinary tasks integrating internal teams regional offices and other company areas;
  • In alignment with sales team develop potential opportunities for placing aircraft leading the process during prospection phase.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Perform all necessary market research activities to determine the best strategies to reinforce the Companys brand product and service awareness in the region of responsibility;
  • Diagnose market trends and forces that impact the marketplace and its players detecting opportunities and anticipating threats for solutions;
  • Perform detailed bottom-up analysis of commercial airline operations in the region in order to identify priorities and concentrations for the Marketing and Sales campaign pipeline;
  • Develop market opportunities (prospection phase) nurturing them toward full-fledged business development cases in alignment with the sales plan;
  • Assist in the creation of the annual Strategic Sales Plan;
  • Build the Companys value proposition for the sales campaigns;
  • Prepare ad-hoc country and carrier-specific studies as well as develop comprehensive presentation materials deemed to be high priority and / or high value as required;
  • Develop and nurture external industry contacts as well as visit customers in order to present relevant analyses enhancing solutions awareness and perceived value;
  • Support local promotional marketing strategy priorities which may include messaging/ external communications event planning / coordination and other promotional activities related to the Commercial Airline Market as required;
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales marketing and technical presentations;
  • Prepare aircraft performance economic and technical analysis during all phases of the sales campaign;
  • Understand competitive environment and competitors product solutions leveraging the Companys strengths in the marketing speech and technical analysis;
  • Provide intelligence related to airline sales opportunities and airline markets by collecting analyzing and summarizing industry data/trends and communicates findings to the Company;
  • Improve analytical and research tools required to perform critical analysis on airline market activities;
  • Working according to the Companys compliance guidance and code of ethics.


Requirements:

Education

Bachelors degree preferably but not limited to Engineering Aviation Business Administration Economics or equivalent

Experience

7+ years experience in market analysis or product marketing in the Aerospace / Aviation industry

Language

Fluent English and Mandarin in both writing and speaking

Technical Knowledge/Specialization


  • Deep understanding of the aerospace market (operations including maintenance) its competitors and products.
  • Deep understanding of financial principles in the market.
  • Strategic vision to plan effectively and execute tasks efficiently both under minimal supervision and within a team.
  • Robust technical foundation including knowledge of airline operations regulations and products (aircraft performance configuration and characteristics).
  • Strategic thinker demonstrating an awareness of airline business planning perspectives to maximize marketing impact and value.
  • Experience and strong ability to work with multicultural diversity and often under very short deadlines.
