The Director of Operations is one of five FAA-mandated management positions under FAR Part 119.65 — holding ultimate operational control authority for the airline and building that structure from scratch. A founding role for someone who has led operations at a Part 121 carrier and wants to build it right from day one. Compensation $190,000-$220,000 base plus equity. Willson Aire was founded in 2026 as a FAR Part 121 regional airline built from the ground up, operating the Airbus A220. We are Black- and veteran-owned, founded by Michael James Wilson Jr., who brings 19 years of frontline aviation experience — ramp, gate, cabin, and dispatch — and 16 years of U.S. Army National Guard Military Police service. Willson Aire exists to prove that an airline can be genuinely elevated — not just for the passengers in the cabin, but for the crew and ground team who make every flight possible.
