The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Subcontracts Specialist to join our E-7 business division to support the E-7 program.

Responsibilities:

In supporting the position, the successful candidate will be required to: 

  • Support supply chain execution across the platform;
  • Support sourcing strategies and approaches to market for defence and aviation type goods and services;
  • Plan, draft, execute and manage a range of contracts types of varying complexities with support from a team lead;
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Build and maintain core relationships with key The Boeing Company focals;
  • Maintain a relationship with suppliers and drive collaboration to ensure on time performance and compliance;
  • Participate in risk identification, mitigation planning and progress and status reporting; and
  • Ensure compliance with supply chain management and program corporate governance policies and procedures. 

Experience/Qualifications

The right applicant will have a combination of the following competencies: 

  • Two(2) to four (4) years or more work experience in contracts management with prior experience in an engineering or project delivery organization being highly desirable;
  • Relevant Bachelors degree in law, commerce or business;
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
  • Good working knowledge of the responsibilities and tasks performed in contracting and their interdependencies with other project activities (for example, engineering, logistics, finance); and
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements and applicants with current Australian defence clearances are highly desirable.
