The Boeing Company is seeking Facilities Plant Maintenance Specialist with Carpentry Experience to join our team based in Hertford, NC.

We seek an enthusiastic individual eager to develop and enhance their skills in a dynamic role. Youll collaborate with other proficient technicians, requiring diligence to achieve a similar level of versatility. Position Responsibilities:

  • Repair various parts of site infrastructure including doors, ceiling components, drywall, carpet, and other items as needed by assigned group
  • Use basic knowledge of building codes, regulations and safety procedures
  • Demonstrate increased skill level in construction to include rough-in and lay-out, under supervision
  • Provide general support in response to routine trouble calls
  • Demonstrate increased skill level in the repair and maintenance of plant and office facilities
  • Use hand and power tools to construct, renovate and repair facilities and equipment
  • Perform demolition, remodel, and new build projects
  • Lead and work with employees of lower classifications engaged in moving and positioning heavy equipment, real property, and installed property
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years’ experience as a carpenter or associated field
  • Ability to pass and complete Fall Protection Training

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience reading and working from blueprints, sketches and plans
  • Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and related equipment
  • Critical thinking, verbal and written communication skills
