Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Entry-Level Fabrication Specialists - Hand Finisher to join our Boeing Helena Operations team located in Helena, Montana on 2nd Shift (Monday - Thursday 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM).

This position will work closely with manufacturing operations and assembly to produce hard metal airplane part details and assemblies for Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

The ideal candidate will have a background in hand finishing parts, use of hand tools, mechanical ability and machining while working in a collaborating and teaming environment with the ability to improve the daily work and quality improvement.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Hand finish and edge break of aluminum, stainless & titanium production parts

  • Utilize and follow standardized work and step details required for production parts and assemblies

  • Assists real time problem solving to understand and determine the true root cause to eliminate all defects and improve the product, process or system

  • Assists and verifies that all parts are inspected prior to closing an operation so we do not pass on any defects to our downstream customers

  • Support a culture that is committed to continuous improvement

  • Hold ourselves and team accountable to Boeing Behaviors and Values

  • Be part of an environment of effective two-way communication (within team and across departments or shifts)

  • Function as a team to work together to meet daily performance targets and achieve higher levels of safety, quality, and efficiency

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Experience using hand and/or air (pneumatic) tools

  • Ability to work any shift based on the needs of the operation

  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds

  • Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling and lifting

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum 3 months experience in Aerospace, Mechanics, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience

Summary Pay Range: $45,000 – $46,000

Sign-On Bonus: External candidates are eligible for a sign-on bonus of $2,500
