Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for Product Support Supply Chain Manager to join our team in SeaTac, WA. The Support Technical Manager is responsible for the operations management and leadership of the Component Services Repair Station site located at SeaTac, WA, (Spares Distribution Center) staffed by a mix of salaried support and hourly mechanic personnel.  The manager is responsible for repair activity associated with the completion of repairs and modifications related to new production spare parts and assemblies under Boeing PC700 authority, and for the inspection, repair, and overhaul of Customer or Boeing-owned used spare parts and assemblies under Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 145 authority.  Role interface requirements include maintaining excellent cross-functional relationships with internal support organizations assigned to the Repair Station (Quality, Materials Engineering, Liaison Engineering), to ensure proper prioritization and backlog management, scheduling, and timely completion of repair activities to support internal Boeing and external Customer requirements.  

Additional responsibilities include maintaining detailed knowledge and awareness of Boeing Repair Station Manual requirements, experienced level knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulation requirements for performance of repair and maintenance activities and maintaining appropriate levels of knowledge of Boeing policies and procedures that directly impact on the activities within the Repair Station to ensure full compliance in all areas of the operation.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with support organizations in all Repair Station Activities
  • Assist, supervise, and direct all applicable maintenance personnel
  • Oversee the work performed by individuals
  • Ensure all work preformed is properly recorded on forms used by the Repair Station
  • Ensure customers’ regulatory requirements are clearly defined prior to work being scheduled and/or started
  • Assign qualified personnel to accomplish Repair Station activities, including safety sensitive work
  • Assign qualified personnel to accomplish Repair Station site self-governance activities including resolution of identified nonconformities, manager and monitor associated activities
  • Verify proper tools and equipment is available
  • Ensure all technical data used by the Repair Station is current
  • Assure defective, unserviceable, or unairworthy parts are not installed on any component or article released by the Repair Station
  • Ensure continuity of work is maintained when personnel shift or assignment changes occur
  • Assure rejected and unserviceable parts are maintained in controlled space in such a way as to prevent their reuse as serviceable parts
  • Be familiar with the BCA Quality Manual and all associated PC700 systems, process, and process documentation that support Repair Station operations
  • When assigning personnel to a job, the supervisor must take the following criteria into consideration:
    • Complexity of the job
    • Number of shifts
    • Duration of job
    • Functional test requirements
    • Special inspections or test requirements
    • Number of mechanics required to perform task/job
    • Anticipated regulatory or customer oversight and direction
  • Confined space requirements

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Properly certificated as a mechanic with Airframe and/or Powerplant (A & P) under 14 CFR part 65, subpart D or have a Repairman Certificate
  • The Repair Station Supervisor must be appropriately certified as a mechanic or repairman under CFR 65 and must read, write, speak and understand English and show compliance under CFR 145.161 (a) (4).
  • All personnel who manage, administer, supervise, perform, inspect, or support Repair Station activity must be familiar with the requirements of the Repair Station Manual.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • 2+ years of Supply Chain or Production experience, in a leadership or management capacity
