Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an AssociateQuality Engineer to join our team located in Mascoutah, IL!

This position supports the production line by leading root cause investigations and corrective actions for non conformance (NCRs), performing line stock checks and data analytics to identify trends, and presenting to stakeholders. The role works closely with production, quality, supply chain and engineering to ensure timely containment and permanent corrective actions that reduce recurrence and improve process capability. This position will travel weekly between the Mascoutah, IL and Hazelwood, MO sites.

This position requires a Bachelor of Science from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Position Responsibilities:

  • This position requires weekly travel up to 50% of the time. The travel will be between the Mascoutah, IL and Hazelwood, MO sites

  • Research contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation.

  • Develop sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.

  • Analyzes capability assessments to support supplier selection activities.

  • Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.

  • Perform data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.

  • Provides material review dispositions for non-conformance.

  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.

  • Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.

  • Works under general supervision.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 1+ year of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)

  • Experience with AS9100 or ISO9000 and/or similar (QMS) Quality Management System

  • 1+ year of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with quality processes

  • Experience working with non-conformance processing

  • Experience in quality inspection and/or auditing

Conflict of Interest:

Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process

Travel:

This position requires weekly travel up to 50% of the time. The travel will be between the Mascoutah, IL and Hazelwood, MO sites
