Boeing Defense, Space & Securitys (BDS) is seeking an Early-Career Tool Engineer to join the Apache Technical Assistance Team in Mesa, AZ.

The Technical Assistance Team provides support to International Partners that provide complex assemblies to the Apache Assembly Line in Mesa, AZ.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide detailed written and verbal communication to external and internal customers to communicate design requirements for complex components and assemblies.
  • Support the development and implementation of tooling methodologies.
  • Participate as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to support the integration of technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
  • Investigate technical problems.
  • Participates in the implementation of Lean Principles and technologies.
  • Advise, review and assist internal and external customers on executing design and contractual requirements.
  • Travel to international suppliers is required (20%) 

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Mesa, AZ.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science (minimum 2 years industry experience).
  • Current or previous experience with NX/Teamcenter/CATIA.
  • Capable of communicating effectively with customers and leading technical discussions. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex manufacturing processes. 
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with manufacturing process improvement and lean manufacturing principles. 
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Current Passport or be able to obtain a Passport for International Travel

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Familiarity with Integrated Product Team (IPT) processes and cross-functional collaboration. 
  • Strong background in supplier engagement and support, including helping suppliers make parts and ensuring quality compliance. 
  • Experience with program proposal activities and technical review meetings.
