Logistics Support Coordinator- TALON
Fort Worth, TX
Salary: $23-25/Hr. DOE
Position Summary
Tactical Air Support, Inc. (TacAir) is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Logistics Support Coordinator. This role will work at TALON's warehouse in Ft. Worth, TX and perform various tasks in support of build and maintenance operations in Reno, NV. The role is primarily responsible for monitoring RFQs, picking, inspecting, and processing outbound shipments of F-5 components. Secondary responsibilities include assisting colleagues at TALON in maintaining inventory via cycle counts and other duties as assigned by on-site or off-site management.
Responsibilities
- Monitor RFQs submitted by off-site OLs and the Stead Maintenance Hangar
- Report available quantities and conditions to the requestor
- Identify possible alternate part number(s) by utilizing AMMs and other sources
- Communicate promptly, clearly and effectively with off-site staff, especially during AOG or work-stoppage situations
- Inspect and prepare assets for dispatch in accordance with industry best-practices
- Generate ROs as required for delivery to TacAir's network of Repair Stations
- Communicate with Repair Stations to ensure assets are repaired and returned in a timely manner
- Analyze repair quotes and identify opportunities for cost reduction
- Approve and return quotes to Repair Stations; expedite hot items as required
- Generate waybills using FedEx online software
- Liaise with freight forwarders to arrange transportation of large/heavy items
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with minimum 3 years experience in aviation logistics & rotables
- Experienced in shipping with FedEx and freight forwarders
- Familiar with aircraft spare parts shipping requirements
- Experienced in aircraft spare parts visual inspection processes and best practices
- Experience in conducting regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
- Knowledgeable in Repair Order processing and monitoring
- Experienced in repair evaluation cost analysis
- Able to build rapport with Repair Stations to ensure TacAir receives favorable pricing and TAT
- Willing and able to use your personal mobile device to make and receive work-related phone calls and text messages during scheduled work hours
- Willing and able to obtain forklift certification
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Security Clearance
Desired Experience/Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Experience with Ramco and/or Pentagon2000 software
- Familiar with ILS, LogiQuest, AMMs/TOs/IPBs
- Familiar with MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- Excellent time-management, task prioritization, communication, ability to multi-task, and a strong sense of urgency
- Attentive to detail, flexible and results driven
Physical Demands
- Occasional lifting, carrying and moving up to 90 pounds
- Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate equipment; reaching with hands and arms
- Sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a warehouse subject to extreme heat or cold and/or humidity for extended periods of time
Work Authorization
- Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form
- Tactical Air Support is a Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace. Pre-employment, random, or for cause drug/alcohol testing (including for marijuana) required
- Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold/humid), and electrical shock, or trip or slip
- May be exposed to or required to handle hazardous materials
- Specific work hours determined by operational, departmental, or contractual requirements
- Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, and overtime work may be required
- Occasional travel to various work sites throughout the U.S. may be required
