An exciting opportunity has become available to join Boeing Ukraine as a Structural Analysis Engineer based on our office in Kyiv, Ukraine.

On this position, you will provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Develop solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives. You will represent the organization by providing solutions to technical issues associated with specific projects.

We are open to consider candidates for all levels: (1) Entry, (2) Experienced, (3) High-Experienced.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Perform structural analysis of aircraft structures (airframe: wing or fuselage). Structural analysis includes calculation of loads, static and fatigue analyses.
  • Evaluate structural integrity of aircraft components by way of classical hand calculations (analytical methods).
  • Generate documentation (stress check notes) to report analysis results to support certification and qualification processes.
  • Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements. Develop repairs for airframe elements.
  • Work with regulatory framework (FAA) for warranting safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Represents the engineering community in the build through post production environment.
  • Technical rigor and focus on excellence.

Level 2 and 3 additional responsibilities:

  • Plans, performs and leads detailed structural analysis (static strength, durability/fatigue and damage tolerance).
  • Develops new materials, methods, tools, and designs to support future programs.
  • Leads a team of stress analysts and provide coaching across all levels.
  • Works under minimal direction.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences).
  • Strong knowledge of strength of materials (hand calculation, analytical methods) approach.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft structure design philosophy.
  • Solid communicator, intermediate level or higher in both written and verbal English. 
  • Readiness to work with multi-functional team in a flexible schedule (weekends/holidays support, overtime, shifted work schedule) to meet the business needs.
  • Readiness for business trips – up to 25% of working time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in static, fatigue and damage tolerance analyses.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals such as material properties, free-body diagrams, load path, structural loads, joints and structural analysis methods.
  • 1+ years work experience in structural analysis engineering.
  • Experience in leading a team of stress analysts.
  • Knowledge of Boeing aircraft structures.
  • Knowledge of finite element method approach.
  • Experience in FAA regulations (14 CFR Part 25 & 26).
  • Experience in CAD/CAE systems (Catia, Nastran/ Patran).
