Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) seeks an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join the Cruise Missile Systems (CMS) team located in St. Charles, Missouri.

In the role of CMS Proposal Integrator, you will be responsible for leading efforts across multiple engineering disciplines to contribute to customer proposals, sustaining the CMS business and capturing new markets across the world.

As a part of the Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems (SIWS) organization, and within Precision Engagement Systems (PES), CMS is a dynamic and growing team with leadership that is focused on attracting and developing top talent in support of critical missions. Connected to our Harpoon, SLAM ER, and development weapon system customers’ missions, we deliver unique capabilities through our exceptional talent.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support CMS Program Managers by generating proposal inputs, deliverables, and schedules. Organize data streams from multiple stakeholders.

  • Analyze customer requests for proposals, ensuring high quality requirements and business strategies are in place. Operate under both Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) business models.

  • Break down customer statements of work (SOW) into requirements for different functions to utilize, utilizing Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBP).

  • Develop and maintain basic pricing models for common requests.

  • Engage cross-functional organizations including multiple engineering functions, supplier management, procurement, contracts, and finance.

  • Identify technical risks, issues, and opportunities. Contribute to planning development and execution, to include issue resolution and plan changes.

  • Communicate with program management, customers, and internal stakeholders to help define requirements and maintain awareness of significant events, milestones, and due dates.

  • Ensure that the customer has a fully supported weapon system by reviewing pre-contract requirements, supporting negotiations, and ensuring the contract final form meets the needs of PMA-201, the International Customers, and Boeing.

  • Traveling domestically and/or internationally to support program execution (up to 10% of the time).

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim or final U.S. Secret Clearance post-start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 5+ years of experience providing technical leadership or project management to cross-functional engineering projects

  • Experience with formal proposals, Requests for Information, or Requests for Proposal.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience analyzing business/engineering requirements.

  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).

  • Project management experience in an engineering environment.

  • Experience in acquisition, operation, or sustainment of weapons systems.

  • Working directly with government customers.

  • Ability to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholders, and work under tight deadlines with competing priorities.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
