What You’ll Do as a Quality Specialist Intern

As a Quality Specialist Intern, you will:

  • Support reviews of proposals, contracts, regulatory, program, and customer requirements, ensuring safety and quality are embedded in plans and practices.
  • Assist with maintaining Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures, and metrics, while demonstrating ownership and diligence.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify root causes of routine problems, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Support research and analysis of performance reports with accuracy and responsibility to enhance process capability.
  • Prepare for hardware, software, and system-level audits, supporting trustworthy transparency and compliance.
  • Compile data for material review disposition, through respectful collaboration with cross-functional teams.

What You’ll Experience

During your 10-12 week internship, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work directly with a mentor in your field of study while solving real-world problems that emphasize safety and quality.
  • Tour Boeing’s state-of-the-art manufacturing and research facilities, connecting hands-on experience with your academic learning.
  • Interact with company leaders to understand strategic priorities and Boeing’s future direction — cultivating trust through transparent communication.

These positions are expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

These positions must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications

  • Be currently enrolled in a college or university with expected graduation on or after August 2027. 
  • Availability to work full-time for 10 - 12 weeks during Summer 2027.
  • Meet Export Control compliance as a “U.S. Person” (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee). 

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Majoring in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Operations, Project Management, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Management,  Programming, Systems Engineering and Management, Engineering Technology,  Information Technology, or related fields.
    • Strong academic performance (GPA 3.0 or above).
    • Previous internships, work experience, or involvement in student or civic organizations demonstrating leadership and teamwork.
    • Passion for aerospace industry and eagerness to contribute to Boeing’s mission.
    • Willingness to relocate and work onsite at designated locations.
