Join our dynamic team in Huntsville, Alabama, as a Shipside Operations Specialist – Manufacturing Captain (Mid-Level or Experienced) and be at the forefront of cutting-edge defense manufacturing.

We’re looking for skilled professionals who are passionate about precision and innovation to help produce Boeing’s Patriot Advanced Capability Seeker team — an integral part of the world’s most advanced air defense system. Recently, the PAC-3 team was honored as the 2025 “Coolest Thing Made in Alabama:” in the statewide Manufacturing Madness competition.  

Position Responsibilities:

  • Use technical knowledge, understanding of process flow, and networking skills to ensure issues are addressed and resolved by responsible support organization
  • Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria. Analyzes and interprets data
  • Assist organizations in identifying reoccurring and high impact issues
  • Supports root cause analysis and corrective action plan to address reoccurring and high impact issues
  • Facilitate ongoing coordination and tracking of open items
  • Provide guidance and coaching to less experienced teammates
  • Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects
  • Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations
  • Shipside Operations Specialist works under general direction

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim pre-start and final post-start U.S. Secret clearance is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Operations environment
  • 1+ years of experience collecting, analyzing and interpreting data and managing projects
  • Experience with Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Ability to work any shift as assigned

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Level 3

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems common image (MESci) experience.
  • Experience in the Aerospace & Defense Industry and/or the military
  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
  • Experience using Shipside Action Tracker (SAT)
  • Active US security clearance

Level 4

  • 5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Operations environment
  • 3+ years of experience collecting, analyzing and interpreting data and managing projects
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems common image (MESci) experience.
  • Experience implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements
  • Experience in the Aerospace & Defense Industry and/or the military
  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
  • Experience using Shipside Action Tracker (SAT)
  • Active US security clearance

Shift:

The selected candidate must be able to work any shift based on seniority and work assignment. This site runs 3 shifts:

  • A shift: Monday-Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm
  • B shift: Monday-Thursday 4:30pm - 3:00am
  • C shift: Friday-Sunday 6:00am - 6:30pm

Mid-Level (Level 3): $72,250 - $97,750 USD

Experienced (Level 4): $86,700 - $117,300 USD
