The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Network Automation Tools and Compliance Senior Manager to join the Network Infrastructure Services & Data Centers (NIS & DC) team in either Seattle, WA; Berkeley, MO; Huntington Beach, CA; North Charleston, SC; Ridley Park, PA; Miami, FL; Huntsville, AL; or Seal Beach, CA.

The selected candidate should have a strong background in Network, Tools, Automation & Compliance. In this challenging and exciting role, you will lead a global team of leaders and skilled individual contributors. It is essential for the Senior Manager to foster a culture of Innovation, Operational Excellence and a commitment to achieving 5 nines reliability through excellence in Tools & Automation. You will collaborate closely with the Executive Director of Network Infrastructure Services & Data Centers and a peer group of Senior Managers overseeing Operation, Design, Architecture, Security, Program Management, and other critical functions.

We are looking for a visionary leader with bold thinking and exceptional leadership skills to drive our newly formed team, ensuring superlative experience for all internal customers. This leader will collaborate closely with peers to develop in-house or procure outside tools and collaborate with partners to transform our network monitoring to proactively address issues, or fast reactively resolve issues as they arise. Additionally, this leader will ensure that we have the right checks and balances to stay compliant.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead a global team consisting of leaders, senior network designers and analysts to develop, evaluate and procure tools

  • Deploy automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enable proactive issues identification, or a fast reactive addressing of any issues or outages

  • Partner with other teams and partners to enhance our automation in network monitoring.

  • Closely work with their peers in Operations, Security, Design, Architecture and Network services to understand their needs and requirements for automation, and tools

  • Ensure compliance with respect to the software (SW) and hardware on 10,000+ devices across the globe

  • Work closely with peers and the Executive Director of Network Infrastructure Services & Data Center to develop and implement the vision and strategy for the Network & Automation Tools & Compliance

  • Encourage a culture of challenging the status quo and actively bring forward new ideas to enhance the overall effectiveness of NIS & DC

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):      

  • 10+ years of experience in managing and/or leading Network, Tools and Automation

  • 10+ years of experience in managing and/or leading network compliance

  • 10+ years of experience with asset management

  • 10+ years of experience managing and/or leading software upgrades across a network

  • 5+ years of experience managing direct reports

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Experience driving a culture of can-do attitude and innovation

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $174,250 – $251,850
