Purpose of this role:

  • To drive business growth by identifying developing and securing opportunities in the commercial aviation business unit.
  • To cultivate long-term strategic relationships with key stakeholders including airlines government entities and industry partners etc.
  • To enhance market intelligence competitive positioning and customer engagement while navigating regulatory and government-related matters.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities market trends and potential customers to expand Embraers footprint in the commercial aviation sector.
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives to penetrate emerging markets and strengthen Embraers competitive position.
  • In conjunction with Institutional Relations:
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with government agencies regulatory bodies and industry associations to support business objectives.
    • Monitor and analyze policy changes regulatory developments and government initiatives impacting the aviation industry.
    • Represent Embraer in discussions with government stakeholders to advocate for favorable policies and business environments.
  • Lead complex business development initiatives including feasibility assessments financial modeling and innovative deal structures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align business development strategies with regulatory and government requirements.
  • Work closely with Sales Marketing Contracts Customer Support Institutional Relations and Finance teams to ensure cohesive strategy execution.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to navigate government-related contracts approvals and compliance matters.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers including C-level executives government officials and industry leaders.
  • Understand customer and government stakeholder needs to tailor solutions that align with Embraers value proposition.
  • Monitor market dynamics competitor activities and regulatory changes to provide strategic insights for decision-making.
  • Provide regular reports on government policies industry trends and competitive landscape to senior management.
  • Represent Embraer at industry events government forums trade fairs and conferences to enhance brand visibility and foster relationships.
  • Support Corporate Communication in promoting Embraers brand and thought leadership in the aviation sector.
  • Ensure all business development and government relations activities adhere to corporate compliance guidelines ethical standards and legal requirements. Strong understanding of the business perspectives (customized marketing long-term processes high-added value marketing macro environment analysis market dynamics etc.);

Requirements:

Education

Bachelors degree or above preferably but not limited to Engineering Aviation Business Administration Economics or equivalent

Experience

12 years relevant experience in project management including complex deals of the Aviation industry. Deep understanding of the market (operations including maintenance) its competitors and products. Good at project leading and developing.

Language

Fluent English and Mandarin in both writing and speaking

  • Strong financial acumen and ability to assess business opportunities.

  • High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong presentation and communication abilities.
