Role Purpose
The Senior Vice President is responsible for all stations’ Cargo Handling operations ensuring that the delivery of services is consistent professional safe and secure. The role requires a seasoned senior manager with a strong operational business understanding and leadership skills. The incumbent must have the ability to run an operation in a challenging environment whilst maintaining strict Menzies Corporate Governance and Financial guidelines.
What you will be doing
+ Leads and works with the senior team to maintain and enhance appropriate and effective safety and security systems risk assessments periodical inspections and audits operational training programs planning operational processes and service delivery.
+ Implementation of the company policies and procedures promoting sound safety security and people management practice
+ Promoting and driving a ‘safety first’ culture through all levels of the organization.
+ Ensure the business unit remains fully compliant with internal standards and all relevant industry regulatory and state legislated requirements.
+ Lead and motivate hard working teams to deliver excellent quality and productivity
+ Directing and motivating Managers to achieve agreed targets
+ Maintains and promotes good labor relations.
+ Maintains high levels of customer service and customer satisfaction.
+ Defines and recommends objectives in each area of responsibility.
+ Develops specific short-term and long-term plans and programs together with supporting budget requests and financial estimates.
+ Establishes objectives and procedures/processes to measure the performance of assigned activities.
+ Reviews performance against operating plans and standards. Makes recommendations for improvement.
+ Appraises the performance of all stations within the region; immediately reports and provides the necessary coordination between activities.

What we are looking for:
+ Degree or postgraduate qualification or demonstrable experience within aviation and/or ground handling
+ Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to work with a high degree of professionalism discretion and dedication
+ Excellent leadership and people management skills
+ Experience in business development sales and commercial negotiation and pricing
+ Wide ranging general management experience with some years of senior management experience
+ Extensive management and/or support service experience preferably in a ground handling aviation or logistics environment
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills balanced with a high level of confidence to
+ Influence and present at all levels
+ Interpersonal skills: Independence decisiveness and the ability to work accurately and independent of immediate support. Able to influence engage and motivate at all levels
+ Flexible determined to succeed and self-motivated
