We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Systems & Simulation Manager to join our BT & E team in Long Beach, CA. This role is critical in supporting the development and execution of test programs, ensuring that all testing activities are effectively integrated and aligned with project goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in people leadership, software development, system integration, risk management, and project execution.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads team members performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Systems and Simulation Engineering

  • Participates with team members to support work execution, peer reviews, troubleshooting, and hands-on development

  • Mentoring and coaching all levels of engineers providing knowledge transfer to aid in growing our next generation of leaders and engineers

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals

  • Be responsible for overall planning, execution, and success of complex projects

  • Forecast resource needs and hire/develop appropriate personnel to meet project and daily operating requirements

  • Leads team members performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, and Lab Operations

  • Test Execution: Ensure requirements and resource needs are known so that Execution of tests, according to established procedures, adherence to safe and high-quality standards

  • Sustaining Support: Provide ongoing support and participate in strategy discussions around test station sustaining support

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership role (i.e., manager, project manager, team lead, etc.)

  • 2+ years of financial acumen experience with understanding and applying financial metrics to assess the viability of business cases

  • 2+ years of experience communicating effectively at multiple levels

  • 3+ years of experience in software development  

  • 5+ years of experience with project management and/or integration

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • 4+ years of experience applying Program Management Best Practices (PMBPs) to include project planning / scheduling and applying Earned Value Management (EVM).

  • 4+ years of Experience in test

  • Experience with military platforms and avionics systems

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience executing in an Agile work environment and implementing Agile Methodologies

  • Experience working in MSOSA, Cameo, or similar Model Based Systems Engineering tools

  • Experience across multiple phases of the product life-cycle

  • Experience with Mission Systems Open Architecture Standards

  • 3+ years of experience in ADA, C, Python software development
