BoeingCommercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Expert(Level 4) to join our Lean Manufacturing Office team in Everett, Washington on Variable Shift. This position requires domestic travel up to 25% of the time. 

In this role you will be responsible for leading, coaching, and teaching employees to solve problems across the production system and mature knowledge and application of lean tools and practices at the team or factory level.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Instructing others in continuous improvement tools and principles

  • Assist in formatting updated training materials

  • Leads and facilitates (Lean tool certified) process improvement efforts

  • Supports advanced continuous improvement tool application

  • Participates in strategy development

  • Conducts Beta tests on new tools

  • Required to be available to attend 2nd and 3rd shifts based on business need for periodic observations

  • Must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job

  • Exhibits Boeing Behaviors

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace

  • 5+ years of experience with project management techniques

  • 5+ years of experience in implementing continuous process improvement, lean processes, and employee involvement and engagement strategies in a manufacturing environment

  • 5+ years of experience working in a team environment

  • Knowledge of company policies/procedures for safety EHS OSHA

  • Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift, when required by the business

  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 14 years of combined relevant experience including education

  • 5+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment 

  • 10+ years of experience using Lean Principles and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace (e.g. Problem solving, Kaizen workshops, 3p, Value Steam mapping, Process mapping, 5s)

  • 10+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams 

  • 10+ years of experience with coaching and facilitating training

  • Willing and able to work a variable shift (primarily 1st shift)

  • Willing and able to travel domestically, potential international travel – confirm with hiring manager
