The Boeing Korea Engineering and Technology Center (BKETC) is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer (Robotics) to join the Software Engineering team in Seoul, Korea. As part of the Boeing Enterprise Software Products and Global Technology team, this position will provide hands-on experience in the development and deployment of cloud-based software applications used in support of commercial aerospace products.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead supervisory control systems for multi-robot manufacturing cells
  • Support the expansion of current multi-robot supervisory control system to interface with larger-scale manufacturing cells
  • Participate in a globally-distributed team to help design, code, and test software
  • Participate and lead project meetings to share  project status and contribute to discussions
  • Interact with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates
  • Support Agile software development methodologies

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
  • Some experience in software development, including design, coding, and testing (internships, academic projects, or coursework are acceptable)
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • A passion for developing high-quality automation and robotics software solutions
  • Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., C++, C#, Python)
  • A motivated attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to team success
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Familiarity with robotics systems and multi-robot coordination concepts
  • Basic knowledge of industrial automation platforms and robot programming
  • Interest in scheduling algorithms, optimization, or operations research
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly automated assembly operations
