We are a small aircraft maintenance repair shop in the beautiful foothills of the California Sierra Nevada Mountains. We are 2 hours from Yosemite and 3 hours from San Francisco. Hiking, fishing, and boating are only a short drive, and Bear Valley ski resort is only an hour and a half up the hill.

We have a very loyal customer base and work on a variety of general aviation planes. We are family owned and operated and pride ourselves on having a family friendly environment. We are enthusiastic about airplanes and love to fly.

We have an immediate opening for a full time experienced A&P mechanic to perform all areas of aircraft repairs and alterations to General Aviation aircraft as well as someone who has integrity, self-motivated, works safely, enthusiastic, and pays attention to detail. A successful candidate needs to be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Minimum of 5 years’ experience and an attention for details is a must.

Job responsibilities:

  1. Performs assembly, disassembly, service and repairs required in the completion of aircraft annuals/100hr inspections, general aircraft service, equipment changes and modifications, trouble shooting and diagnosing aircraft and engine components, including but not limited to removal, replacement and repair of airframes , engines, propellers and related systems.
  2. Required to tow and ground run aircraft during the performance of maintenance duties. Also physically able to manually move aircraft and lift aircraft support equipment (75-100 lbs.).

Qualifications:

  1. Be able to read, speak and understand the English language for the interpretation of maintenance manuals and installation instructions.
  2. Holds FAA A&P certificates, IA strongly preferred, licensed pilot preferred but not required.
  3. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in General Aviation light aircraft. (We do not work on helicopters)
  4. Takes pride in doing the job right.
  5. Can pass an initial and random drug/alcohol screening program.
  6. Must possess own tools needed to perform routine maintenance and repairs.

Types of planes serviced include but is not limited to: Single and twin engine, Cessna, Beechcraft, Piper, Grumman, experimental, float planes, etc.

Position: Fulltime

Wage: DOE

Experience: A&P, minimum 5 years’ general aviation experience, IA preferred

Medical/Dental: None

Other Benefits: Paid vacation and 6 paid holidays. Also a $1500.00 relocation bonus to be paid after the 3rd month of employment.
