The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), BCA organization is seeking a proactive Engr Technical Specialist (Technical Integration) (Mid-Level or Senior)to join the team in North Charleston, Sc.

The Boeing South Carolina Engineering Design Center has an opportunity for an experienced Engineering Technical Specialist to lead the definition and deployment of workforce development systems, processes and resources in support of employee growth and development for the BSC engineering team.

This position is 100% onsite position. The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite in

North Charleston, SC

Position Responsibilities:

  • Works with Skill Leaders and Engr. leadership to define BSC engineering training and workforce development strategies.
  • Manages deployment of training strategies.
  • Coordinates skill gap assessments and closure solutions.
  • Manages the integration/coordination of learning strategies and tactics with Enterprise and external learning support partners: Skill Leaders, L & D, EUA, BSC Training, Process & Tools, University Relations, Onboarding, Program SME’s, Ready SC, etc.
  • Provides learning solutions for BSC Engineering Design Center requirements

Key skills to be successful in this role:

  • STRONG project management skills and experience
  • Communication skills at all levels of leadership
  • Be able to get team members to work together using influence skills
  • Think large scale and sustainable (goal is not just to fix the problem today, but also to make sure the problem doesn’t come back)
  • Be open to new ideas and be able to challenge team to think differently

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Project Management exposure / experience
  • Skill Leaders, L & D, EUA, BSC Training, Process & Tools, University Relations, On-Boarding, Program SME’s, ReadySC, etc.
  • Provides learning solutions for BSC Engineering Design Center requirements

Typical Education/Experience: 
Mid-Level (Level 3)

Bachelors and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Senior (Level 4)

Bachelors degree and typically 10 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 8 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
