Triumph Integrated Systems provides a full range of integrated solutions for aircraft manufactures around the globe. We provide design development and support of internally designed components subsystems and systems as well as production of complex assemblies using external designs.
Based in Clemmons NC Triumph Fluid Power and Actuation employs approximately 200 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include manufacturing design and repair of complex hydraulic and hydro-mechanical aircraft components and systems.
The Quality Engineer applies strong knowledge of quality systems to develop and improve the systems and products necessary to ensure that the business attains its annual goals while meeting Regulatory Customer and Industry requirements. Develops and maintains the systems as necessary to ensure continued improvement and compliance with AS9100/ISO9001 Customer and Regulatory requirements.
+ Promotes and executes quality assurance philosophy throughout the organization
+ Performs non-conformance submittals for Customer approval
+ Performs Customer Return evaluations and provides technical assistance in return investigations
+ Maintains and distributes Quality Metrics
+ Maintains reporting for DPMO (Defects per Million Opportunities) Scrap Warranty and Rework
+ Performs incoming evaluations and processes Customer Returns from receipt to return shipment
+ Leads investigations in determining root cause for Customer returns
+ Performs direct correspondence with assigned Customers for Quality related requirements and issues
+ Leads and assists with audits both internally and externally including the completion of customer matrices
+ Plays an active role on quality management teams within the organization and keeps the management team abreast of significant issues or developments
+ Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and collect data for monitoring targets
+ Prepares and presents quality metrics during Management Reviews
+ Prepares and presents necessary information for Management Reviews including: Warranty Customer Scorecards and Customer Returns
+ Maintains a working knowledge of FAA and industry quality assurance codes and standards
+ Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team
+ Supports in the implementation of APQP and PPAP
+ Ability to perform internal and external audits and prepare summary reports as required
+ Write and follow up on internal corrective actions for root cause analysis
+ Write and revise internal procedures as necessary
+ Completes (SCARs) Supplier Corrective Action Requests from Customers and (FARs) Failure Analysis Reports to accompany shipments
+ Works with Customers and Source Inspectors during visits and audits
+ Enters Quality information into Customer’s portal as required
+ Assists with gathering and writing (NOEs) Notification of Escapement
+ Keep (RMA) Return Material Authorization log updated
+ Communicates and works closely with Program Management
+ Communicates with external Suppliers as needed concerning customer complaints
+ Complies with all company policies and procedures including safety requirements.
+ Contributes to team effort by maintaining a positive outlook
+ Other duties as assigned to ensure customer needs are met
+ Associates degree in Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering or technical field or equivalent work-related experience required
+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering preferred
+ Certification as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or a Quality Auditor (CQA) desired.
+ At least 2 years experience in a Quality Assurance role in manufacturing or the aerospace industry.
+ Will consider a new college grad with experience in a Quality CoOp or internship.
+ Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001
+ Working knowledge using various tool for RCCA investigations analysis and implementation
+ Quality experience working directly with customers and suppliers
+ Familiarization/experience in the following methodologies is preferred:
+ DMAIC and 8 Disciplines (8D) problem solving
+ Lean Six Sigma
+ Statistical Process Control
+ Strong problem-solving skills
+ Proficient knowledge and application of Microsoft Office
+ Ability to work independently and in a team environment
