Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Aviation Upholstery Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, repair, and installation of high-quality upholstery for aircraft interiors, including seats, panels, headliners, and sidewalls. This role requires experience with fine fabrics, leathers, and aviation-grade materials, along with precision workmanship and an eye for detail. Familiarity with VIP, business, or corporate jet interiors is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Upholster, refurbish, and repair aircraft interior components such as seats, divans, headliners, and sidewalls

• Cut, sew, and fit leather, fabric, foam, and other soft goods to aviation specifications

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, seat cover patterns, and work instructions

• Install upholstered components into aircraft following OEM and FAA standards

• Ensure quality control through visual inspections and fit checks

• Collaborate with team members, engineers, and quality assurance personnel

• Maintain tools and equipment and follow all safety and cleanliness protocols in the shop

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in aviation upholstery

• Proficiency in hand and industrial sewing, foam shaping, and material stretching techniques

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, patterns, and work orders

• Familiarity with aviation interior materials and installation standards

• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship

• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team

• Must have experience with VIP, Business, Corporate, or Executive Jet interiors

• Knowledge of FAA or EASA interior modification standards is preferred
