Maintenance Shop Supervisor
Bighorn Airways, Inc. is seeking an experienced, energetic, and highly motivated Shop Supervisor who is primarily responsible
for the daily operations and productivity of Bighorn Airways Maintenance Shop. The Shop Supervisor must work in coordination
with the Director of Maintenance and the Chief Inspector to task mechanics with inspections, repairs and projects. This
supervisor will ensure that floor mechanics are maintaining productivity and that the daily shop operations are functioning
in an efficient and cost effective manner.
The successful candidate must have the ability to work with a wide range of customers and employees, to provide excellent
service and mechanical safety for the daily flight operations of Bighorn Airways Aircraft. Shop Supervisor needs appropriate
experience in supervising, directing and approving aircraft to return to service, evidenced by employment history, training
- Appropriately certified under FARs Part 65 with 5 years minimum experience active duties as an aircraft mechanic,
or directly related experience in aviation.
- Eighteen (18) months practical experience in procedures, practices, inspection methods, materials, tools,
machine tools and equipment generally used in the work for which repair station is rates.
- Understands FARs, Airworthiness Directives, methods, techniques and practices
- Assist mechanics with troubleshooting of aircraft systems and perform aircraft maintenance during periods of peak
demand, coverage for sick days/vacations, etc. in order to maintain the maintenance schedule.
